John J. Arlotta is Chief Executive Officer for CareCore National, an evidence-based healthcare solutions company. Mr. Arlotta is responsible for driving CareCore National’s mission of delivering innovative technology driven healthcare solutions to health plans, self-insured employers, and healthcare delivery systems including Accountable Care Organizations.
Prior to joining CareCore National, Mr. Arlotta served as Special Healthcare Advisor for General Atlantic (GA), a global private equity fund, managing $15 billion in assets. In this role, he assisted GA in identifying healthcare investment opportunities, participated in due diligence activities, served on GA boards, and assisted management teams. Previous positions held by Mr. Arlotta include Chairman, President and CEO Coram Inc, a privately held provider of home infusion and specialty pharmacy services which merged with Apria Healthcare in December 2008; Chairman and CEO of NeighborCare Inc. (NASDAQ:NCRX), a company providing pharmaceutical products and services to nursing homes; President and Chief Operating Officer of Caremark Rx (NYSE:CMX) one of the nation’s leading pharmacy benefit management (PBM) companies, providing comprehensive prescription benefit management services to over 2,000 health plans, including corporations, managed care organizations, insurance companies, unions and government entities; Chairman, President, and CEO of HealthCall Corporation, a distributor of durable medical equipment and consumable medical supplies for home health care. Mr. Arlotta has also held a variety of sales, marketing, and general management positions with Baxter International. At Baxter, he started one of the country’s first home care companies, providing IV therapy to chronically ill patients.
Additionally, Mr. Arlotta is owner of the Minnesota Swarm, a professional indoor lacrosse franchise. He is the Governor and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). John was named NLL Executive of the Year for 2009 and NLL General Manager of the Year in 2012. An active alumnus of the University of Notre Dame, he is a member of the Undergraduate Experience Advisory Council, and he was the lead donor for the new lacrosse only stadium at Notre Dame that bears his name.
Mr. Arlotta is a graduate of Notre Dame with a BS in Marketing and a minor in Transportation Management. He was also an Army ROTC graduate, and is a retired Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. Arlotta and his wife Bobbie have 3 adult children, Mindy, Andy, and Jon, and two grandchildren, Devin and Riley.
